Held each September at Yeouido Hangang Park, the Seoul International Fireworks Festival is free to attend, making it a great event to enjoy with family and friends.
The 2026 fireworks display is scheduled for September 5 at 8:00 PM.
Best Places to Watch the Fireworks
There are several great spots to watch the fireworks. When choosing where to go,
I recommend considering not only the view but also how easy it will be to get there and leave afterward.

Yeouido Hangang Park
It offers a great view of the fireworks, but you’ll need to arrive early to secure a good spot.
Watch from Seogang Bridge
Take Exit 5 at Gwangheungchang Station on Seoul Subway Line 6, and you can walk up to Seogang Bridge.
Since you’ll be watching from the bridge, there’s nowhere to sit and you can’t stay for a long time. That makes it a great spot for anyone who simply wants to see the fireworks without attending the pre-show events. It’s also a convenient option for getting back, as fewer people tend to take the subway from here.
If you stay in one spot for too long, the police may ask you to keep moving. If that happens, you can simply walk a little farther ahead and then come back. Once the fireworks begin, you won’t be asked to keep moving and can stay in place to enjoy the show.
The pre-show events begin at 1:00 PM, followed by the main fireworks display starting at 8:00 PM.

🇰🇷 South Korea — 8:40–9:10 PM
After-show DJ performance — 9:10–10:00 PM
Seogang Bridge Fireworks
These photos are from my visit last year. Even though the view from Seogang Bridge isn’t directly in front of the fireworks, it’s still a great spot to enjoy the show.
The main parks where people gather to watch the fireworks can get extremely crowded, and some subway stations may even be restricted. Compared to those areas, this spot is relatively quiet, making it a convenient place to head back from after the show.
